Weak is defined as liable to break or give way under pressure, and easily damaged. In the context of your psyche, your attitude, and your ethos, weak is not a good thing. In most regards, "weak" is not a good thing.
That's not to say that you shouldn't have any weaknesses at all. Weaknesses are normal; they're natural. You can't fight the fact that throughout your life, you will have weaknesses. What you can fight is the way you deal with them. You have a choice: live with your weaknesses or turn them into something positive and defeat them.
1. Follow Your Gut
It's hard to listen to your own voice when you're surrounded by other people's opinions. But more times than not, your instinct is what's best for you. It will rarely lead you astray. Stick to it!
2. Give Yourself a Good Challenge
Mental strength is like physical strength. If you don't work out your muscles enough, you'll lose strength. Over time, losing strength results in weakness. The same goes for your mind and your emotions. Every once and a while, you need to challenge yourself and push yourself out of your comfort zone to trump the weaknesses with burgeoning strength.
3. Fear Not - Go For it Instead
The more you're afraid of, the less you will do. Don't hold yourself back. Face your fears!
4. Strike up a Conversation
An unconventional approach to conquering your weaknesses but just the thing you need to do. The next time you stumble across a stranger with an inkling to strike up a conversation, go for it. You never know what you'll learn from someone new, and while you're at it, you'll put yourself out there - which will beat your weaknesses in the long run.
5. Work on your Mindset
In the spirit of conquering your fears, putting yourself out there, and ultimately, conquering your weaknesses, you need to target your mindset. What are you spending your time thinking about? Are you positive more often than you are negative? Do you encourage yourself and practice positive self-talk?
While you're sitting back and thinking about these ways to stamp out your weakness, don't forget that it all comes back to your "why." The reason why you're trying to stamp out your weaknesses in the first place. Don't lose sight of that motivation, keep up the inspiration, and celebrate these small wins in significant ways.
